On this hashtag#WorldCancerDay, we unite to enhance awareness and foster progress in cancer treatment. FLASH Radiotherapy is a new cancer treatment that delivers a very high dose of radiation in a fraction of a second instead of spreading it out over multiple sessions like traditional radiotherapy.
Benefits
✅ Less Damage to Healthy Tissue – The super-fast radiation seems to harm normal cells less than traditional radiation.
✅ Fewer Side Effects – Because healthy tissues are less affected, patients may experience fewer side effects like skin irritation or fatigue.
✅ Faster Treatment – Instead of multiple sessions over weeks, it can be done in just one or a few sessions.
✅ More Comfortable for Patients – Since treatment is quick, it’s easier for patients, especially those who have difficulty staying still for long periods.
✅ Increased Accessibility – With the same number of machines, more patients can receive treatment, making advanced cancer care more widely available.

Flash radiotherapy is still being researched, but early results suggest that it could revolutionize cancer treatment. One challenge to its approval for medical use is accurately measuring the radiation dose delivered to the patient, as regular measurement tools cannot handle such high doses effectively.
At BrightComSol, we are developing a dosimetry system for FLASH radiotherapy to ensure patients receive precise radiation doses—neither too much nor too little.
