Happy World Radiography Day!
Today, we honor Wilhelm Röntgen's groundbreaking discovery of the X-ray in 1895, which revolutionized medical imaging and paved the way for modern treatments and new horizons for other applications. Röntgen’s discovery has impacted various fields beyond medicine; it enables us to inspect electronics like our phones and ensures safety at airports by scanning baggage for security, among other applications. His invention has transformed how we see the unseen, shaping the foundation for countless applications in both healthcare and technology.

At BrightComSol, we are developing a new generation of scintillator materials to make supersharp X-ray images and increase the throughput of X-ray imaging. Here are just a few examples of the impact of our technology: Ultra-sharp X-ray images enable early breast cancer detection and the identification of flaws in manufactured parts such as lithium-ion batteries. Faster X-ray imaging can lower patients' radiation exposure and reduce inspection costs per unit.
